PAINTING

KEY STAGE THREE

For this project, students were taught drawing from observation as well as the fundamentals of colour theory and information about local artists who used it (Patrick Heron). Students were then led outside to various vantage points around the school and asked to create four separate works using various methods, times, and techniques. This was followed by a painting lesson in which students used their newly acquired colour theory. Students then displayed their work in their books with the before and after colours, as well as a completed reflection sheet that I provided them.
